Blacktown West PS opened in 1957. The school community includes families from a diverse cultural background. Spanish is taught from Kindergarten to Year 6 with an additional program for talented students.
The school offers a wide range of programs in modern dance, oracy, drama, percussion band, choir, Spanish dance, a leadership camp for Year 6 students and a literacy and cultural camp for Aboriginal students and their buddies.
