North Nowra Public School has a wildlife corridor along its northern boundaries. This corridor flows into the rehabilitated Mahogany Creek Project developed by the Shoalhaven City Council. Existing trees have been used to create sheltered courtyard areas which have been extended with picnic tables for students to enjoy the bush surroundings. The school shares facilities with Havenlee SSP. It has been designed with energy saving initiatives such as utilisation of natural light and ventilation, rainwater collection and recirculation for landscape irrigation.Through partnerships with parents and carers, students are guided towards developing lifelong learning skills in an environment which recognises and values all learning and is stimulating, meaningful and supportive.
