Coreen School is a Special Education facility catering for secondary age students from Years 7 to 12. All students have been assessed as having a mild to moderate intellectual disability (IM/IO)and emotional disturbance (ED), behaviour disorder or challenging behaviours. Coreen School provides an alternative educational setting for students who have experienced difficulties in regular classroom settings or within Support Units in regular schools. Small class sizes, broad curriculum, high school model and good facilities support qualitity teaching. The school draws its students from the educational districts of Blacktown, Penrith, Mt. Druitt and Parramatta and is located near the Blacktown bus/rail interchange. The school is on the Priority Schools Program (PSP) and receives additional funding.
