This school report is unique in that it reflects on the achievements of two schools, Allambie School and Manly/ Warringah School. These two schools for Specific Purposes were amalgamated in Week 10, Term 4, 2000. This report therefore provides a separate summary of the achievements of each of the former schools over the past twelve months. Both schools were located in the Northern Beaches District. Allambie School is at Frenchs Forest and has traditionally catered for students with cerebral palsy from pre-school to year 12. Therapy support was provided by the Spastic Centre of NSW. Manly Warringah School was located in Allambie Heights and had a long history of providing educational programs for students with physical disabilities and medical conditions. Therapy support was provided by the NSW Department of Health Disability Team. The aim of both schools was to provide individual educational programs through an integrated team planning approach. Teams include teachers, parents, therapists and associated medical personnel where appropriate.
