Bass High is a co-educational comprehensive school which serves Bass Hill, Villawood, Georges Hall and nearby suburbs. Over 40 years, the school has been meeting the needs of the local community by promoting academic achievement, personal fulfilment and sporting prowess. The 630 students reflect the diversity of cultural backgrounds which make up modern Australian society. Students are actively encouraged to take pride in their family's culture and heritage and to take an active part in building Australia's identity and future. The School Council has a leading role in discussing educational issues affecting the school and in making decisions which determine the way the school operates and the culture it develops.
