Dear fellow rappers
We’re class 3S from Marayong Pubic School. We have been reading Jeannie Baker’s books and have been interested in seeing how the environment changes over time through her eyes. Some of the changes in our school’s environment have been:
* a new safety fence near our crossing, to make it safer for all children.
* There have been changes to our Pre – School ground, including safety mats and a new fence.
* Gum trees have been chopped down because they had rotted. Hopefully new trees will be planted to replace these old trees.
* We now have a shade shelter and safe K-2 play equipment.
* We hope to get a school hall and gym in the future, as well as native trees and plants to improve our school environment.
Some of the changes in our local Blacktown environment have been:
* Our local shopping centre WestPoint Blacktown is currently being re-developed with new shops, library, movies, bowling, food shops and parking because of our growing population.
* We hope to see solar – powered cars, new sporting facilities, parks and lots more trees and native animals return to Blacktown in the future.
