Hello everyone,
We completed Rap Sheet 1 and looked at all the changes in an inner city environment shown in Belonging.
Then we brain stormed ideas on what we thought our school environment looked like 25 years ago. Suggestions included - it was vacant and grassy with lots of wildlife and plovers; it could have been a farm; there would have been fewer houses and they would have been made from different materials.
We then discussed how we could find out about the history of our suburb and we are going to research the development of Mount Annan Botanic garden which is very close to our school.
Our school has only been here for 11 years and we are to see more changes as a new building program starts in the next few weeks. That means our playground will change as well. We have a beautiful native garden that is named the Jubilee garden and we have just started a vegetable patch and we compost our fruit scraps.
We liked the idea of the Walk and Wheel playground at Jasper Road.
