Our school is almost in the heart of Sydney. Darlinghurst is an old suburb
which was once full of senior citizens who lived in terrace houses. Now
there are also modern buildings, including a famous high-rise called 'The
Horizon' which is right next to our school. Our environment has changed
because business people and their families have moved to be closer to the
city.
We have been for a walk around our community and we observed many changes.
Near SCEGGS there is an art school that used to be a gaol. Now people can
enjoy learning to be artists rather than being locked up in a cell.
We also noticed lots of fresh young plants, street art and new cafes.
We hope you can see that our suburb is becoming more of a community. We
are looking forward to reading your responses.
