binnabinnaman04_rap Rap 3

Hi rappers ,
This is our response to rap point 3.
This is an authentic book from an indigenous culture. One of the ways this is shown is through the Binna Binna man.Although he rarely talks himself, he portrays his message through other people.

The only message he said directly was to the boy. The message was "be who you are." We think this means don't run away from your culture. Be proud of your people and be proud of who you are.

The next message was delivered through Shandell. The message was "The adults should look after the young ones and the young ones to look out for the old ways." This message means that the Murri's need to look out for each other, stick up for each other and believe in each other.

The next message was spoken by Popeye Bobby. He said "He's got his heart open for us Buma, us Murris." Like most aboriginal stories the Binna Binna man is a good spirit portraying messages to help his people, but the children think he is scary and a bad spirit.

The next message was ''Remember who you came from. You forget you get weak. You get weak you die.'' We think this message means don't forget who you are.You need to listen to your elders. If you forget this you lose part of your history and your life will never feel the same.

This is an incredibly amazing story. The magic of it is if you look past the words it's a completely different story, teaching you a lesson in life.

Bye for now
