Hello Book Week Rappers,
Welcome again to our Book Week Rap, focusing on the short-listed Early Childhood books. As you will have already discovered there are some wonderful books in this section and I’m looking forward to learning more about them with you.
I hope you enjoy taking part! This week, our task is to introduce ourselves, so let me begin by telling you about myself.
My name is Mrs Chapman, and I will be your rap coordinator for this Book Week rap. I am the teacher-librarian at Wollondilly Public School in Goulburn, and I will be working closely with the classes at my school who will be rapping with you. They will tell you about our school when they introduce themselves.
We are keen to meet all our fellow Book Week rappers, so as soon as you can this week (commencing Monday 28th July), please send one short introductory e-mail, telling us about your class and school. Be sure to tell us your location and one or two things that make your class or school special.
Send your Introductory message and all other Book Week rap messages to:
bkweek03_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au
For your introductory message, please type “Introducing <your school & class name>” in the subject line. This will help us to locate our rappers on a Rap Map – there are outlines available on the book rap website. As you read everyone’s introductions, you might like to begin a database of rappers’ for quick reference during the rap.
Thank you for joining us for our Book Week Book Rap! I’m sure we’ll have some great fun, and I’m looking forward to rapping with you all.
Mrs Chapman
(Book Week Book Rap Coordinator)
