bkweek03_rap Launching Rap Point 2

Hello rappers,

Although we are still enjoying great character poems from Rap Point 1, some of us are ready to turn our attention to Rap Point 2.   This discussion point asks us to focus on the illustrations.  Here it is:

Imagine you were the illustrator of one of the Early Childhood books.  Now that you have been ‘shortlisted’, people want to know more about your techniques.

Write a short piece, perhaps for an imagined publisher’s website, explaining your illustrations, giving examples of what you did and why, particularly at important parts of the story.

You might like to write your response in first person, pretending you are the illustrator, and explaining some of the choices you made when working on the illustrations.

Have fun as you study these great illustrations!

Happy rapping,

Mrs Chapman

(Book Week Coordinator)
