Hello fellow Rappers
Welcome to our Book Week Picture Books Rap! My name is Jenny Scheffers (the
Teacher Librarian at Marayong Public School)and I'm co-ordinating this Rap
with Alyson Simpson (the Teacher Librarian at Annandale North Public
School). We're both looking forward to reading all your insightful ideas
about the six Shortlisted Picture Books and sharing in your Rap Responses!
We hope this Book Rap will provide a wonderful teaching and learning
experience for everyone involved!
Your first task, for the week commencing Monday 30th July, is to post an
Introductory e-mail which describes a little about your class and school.
For example, you may wish to tell us where your school is located, its size,
information about your class or group, and anything special about your
school.
Please send your Introductory e-mail and all messages for classes to:
book_week_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au
For your Introductory message, please type "Introduction from" then your
school name, in the Subject box.
As you're reading other schools' introductions, you may wish to plot them on
your Rap Maps, which can be downloaded from the Book Rap site.
Teachers are also encouraged to subscribe to the Teacher Rap Listserv.
