book_week_rap Hello from us!

Hi fellow Rappers,

We are from Kambala Junior School in Rose Bay, Sydney, NSW.
We are completing the rap in our Reading class. Our teacher’s
name is Miss Allfrey and she is typing so she says we have to
say she is really cool!

We think we are very lucky because we can see the Harbour
from parts of our school. We are an all girls’ school and
have three grade 6 classes. We all love Sport, especially
hockey and netball.

This is the first time we have participated in a book rap and
at this stage we are all feeling very excited about the
activities and getting to know more about other schools in
Australia. We enjoyed reading the short listed picture books.

In our Reading group we have a reading worm! We are given a
book review sheet when we finish reading a novel and we fill
it in and it goes up on the wall as part of the worm’s body.
If we read 100 books as a class by the end of the year we are
going to have a PIZZA PARTY. We have a long way to go though!

We have enjoyed reading about your classes and look forward
to learning more about you all soon.

>From the Groovy Rappers!! !!!
