book_week_rap WHAT'S ON: Mrs Millie's painting, a Stage 2 book rap on"School libraries: empowering learning"

Dear all,

In Term Four, a book rap suitable for Stage 2 students (Years 3 and 4) will be live for subscribing from 15th October, with introductions commencing 22nd October:

"Mrs Millie's painting" is a picture book by Matt Ottley, and the author/illustrator will be an online guest for part of the rap.

Support materials for this rap, including a program and planning outline, will be available from the first day of Term Four, in the "Teaching and learning" section of "School libraries: empowering learning" at: http://www.det.nsw.edu.au/schoollibraries

There is no charge for activities on "School Libraries: empowering learning", the NSW Department of Education and Training's web site.

If you have visited the web site recently, please note that your browser may not always recognise that certain pages have been updated. For example, if you do not see the new book rap information on the first day of Term Four, try pressing the SHIFT key on your keyboard whilst selecting either the RELOAD or REFRESH function from your browser's pull-down menu. The updated page will then appear.

We hope you can join us for this exciting book rap. You might like to pass on this information to other colleagues and school community members who are interested. For further information, please fax (02) 9886 7413.

Best regards,
Wendy Chapman (Rap Coordinator) & Ian McLean
