bookweek05_rap introduction from Beaconsfield primary School

Dear fellow rappers.
We are the year 6/7 students from room 17 at Beaconsfield Primary School, which is situated just south of Fremantle in Western Australia. Fremantle is a heritage city and the site of the early settlement of the Swan River Colony. It is also known as "Home of the America's Cup". We have students from kindergarten to year seven. There are 440 students in our school and 100 of these are I.E.C.(Intensive English Centre) students. They are students from other countries who are learning to speak English in our school for 12 months before they move to schools in their own suburbs. Many of these students are from Africa. We have two nice  green ovals with plenty of grass! ( Which we promise we will appreciate more now, Annandale ). We also have a beautiful view of the ocean .We have a dentist at our school and we get stickers and colouring in sheets when we are done. Our school is currently involved in a "Raise the Roof" fete to raise money for our under cover area. We also enjoy participating in lots of community Arts projects.

We are looking forward to rapping with you
