Dear fellow students and teachers from schools around Australia,
We are a 5/6 group from Gulgong Public School. Our school is located
in Belmore Street, Gulgong, N.S.W. Australia. You probably have not heard
about us before as we arenot a large town. We are in the Central West, about
an hour and a half away from Dubbo and 20 minutes from Mudgee.
We have a very intresting history being an old gold mining town.
Gulgong is now called the Ten Dollar Town because the town used to be on the
ten dollar note. Henry Lawson the famous poet grew up here!
At Gulgong Public School we have a lot of opportunities and many
challenges. We are a safe and happy school and love to talk and listen. Our
meetings are held in the computer lab in the school library. Twice a week we
meet to work on our book raps.
We are all excited about discussing the books with all of you and
intend on having lots of fun sending and receiving your e-mails. We wish to
learn more about you in future messages.
