Rappers,
Its time
to begin the fun work with our first discussion point on the short-listed
Picture Book of the Year titles.
Here is
Rap Point 1. It should be heaps of
fun, helping us to ‘get inside’ the characters, so enjoy your discussions and
creations.
Rap Point 1
Characters
in these short-listed Picture Books experience both inward and outward
journeys. Examine a character’s
entire journey, or a special event within that journey, and design a token the
character might keep as a reminder of this event.
- Send
an email to the rap, giving a detailed description of your creation,
explaining why this would be a fitting memento or souvenir for your
character.
Then,
if possible,
- Label
a scanned image, or a digital photo of your token design, and send it to the
Book Rap website, so rappers can match your verbal description with the visual
image.
(More information regarding this last step will follow.)
The two
Rap Sheets for Rap Point 1 will help you organise your thoughts and create a
suitable design.
