Dear
Rappers,
I’m sure
everyone has enjoyed reading the introductions this week as much as I have. It is great to see that some schools,
like Haberfield and St Michaels, have more than one class rapping with us. We’re
off to a fine start.
A
special welcome to our interstate rappers: Beaconsfield from Fremantle, and the
Middle Ridge Rappers in Queensland.
[I think these wonderful Queenslanders deserve a special welcome because
of their honesty and enthusiasm – so here comes a Rousing Rapping drumRoll just
for you,
Middle
Ridge iiiii !!!]
I’m delighted that we have
quite a few Sydney rappers, and its been great to learn a little about your
schools, your interests, and some of the special features of your
locations. I wish I had seen your
circus last term, Annandale – it sounds great! I’m sure Carlton South will be creating
some amazing things with their new technology prize soon – let us know if you
use any of it for this rap! I was
particularly interested to read that Neutral Bay rappers enjoy a great community
spirit at their school. Perhaps we
will hear more about this, as it could apply to one of our rap points later on –
I hope so.
I’m
pleased there are some non-metropolitan schools joining us, who might give us
their country opinions: Newcastle Grammar and Hunter School of PA in Newcastle,
Gulgong (have you found this unique little spot on your rap maps yet?) and my
very own Wollondilly school here in Goulburn. Thankyou for making my database of
schools, and your locations, look so healthy!
If you
haven’t sent a message introducing your school and class, we’d love to hear from
you. Be sure to tell us your
location, so we can mark you on our rap maps.
Meanwhile,
this week we get down to business by beginning our work on the short-listed
Picture Book titles with Rap Point 1. Check out the separate email message
with *Rap Point One* in the subject line. We look forward to hearing from you
soon.
Happy
Rapping
