We have gone into groups and have read all the picture books.We had a group discussion of which book we liked the best and the significant events which happened in the story.Year 5 Green voted for which story we liked the most - we liked BELONGING and Mutt Dog just missed out by 1 vote. We thought that the most significant page in Belonging was the first window because it was showing a run-down neighbourhood with one person starting to make a difference and then the last page showed how much difference that person could make in influencing the community on the journey from cement to a green community.
We thought that an important symbol could be the gift of a living plant.
