Dear Rappers
In year 4 we read Are We There Yet. It?s a good book we did some tokens
on
shells!
In Are We There Yet Grace (the main character) made a mermaid with mum
which got washed away to the bottom of the sea like a real mermaid. The
mermaid got washed away when they were making it. At Monkey Mia the family
picked up some shells. In the Great Barrier Reef when they were swimming
they grabbed some shells to take home. The family had lots of shells to
take home. The family also took home a shell you could blow through.
Also in Are We There Yet we had tokens on the Rock of Uluru it is a medium
sized rock from the foot of Uluru. It is a ginger colour and turns darker
in the night. A purple colour. In Western Australia there is a rock that
Luke (Grace?s brother) would
remember it because he skateboarded on it.
One of the other tokens we chose was Grace?s hat because it was a memory
to Grace because an elephant ate it. Her dad got it for her when she was
riding a horse and dad said she was a cowgirl she was so happy she said I
love this hat she got it from a country town and a little elephant tried
to eat her new hat but she ran away so it couldn?t. She thought her old hat
was stupid.
In Year 5 we read (Mutt dog ),Our token is the garbage bin . Because the
dog lives by eating from the garbage bin . Then one day his dream came true
. He finds an owner that takes care of him very well !.
