after looking at the social issues in the picture books we discussed organisations in our local area that deal with social issues. Cooks River is at the back of our school and there is a campaign about cleaning it up. The R.S.P.C.A is not far from our school they care for lost and injured animals. As a catholic school we contribute to Caritas Aust and ST Vincient de Paul which are organisations that help poor people.
