Hello again Rappers,
After your great ideas last week for
Rap Point 1, I’m looking forward to reading what you discover as we begin work
on Rap Point 2.
Before that though, let me welcome the new rappers who have
joined us this week. We now have rappers from Jugiong, Narellan Vale,
Newtown, and Blacktown South (3/4K) Public
Schools, Hambledon in Cairns, (a special welcome to our
Queenslanders!) St Clare’s in Narellan Vale, and St Therese’s in New Lambton. A
warm welcome to you all. My
database says we have almost 45 schools and classes rapping with us. This is
terrific!
If you have missed any messages you
can read our hard work so far by clicking on the Class
Email Discussion at:

Now, for Rap Point
2.
As
we enjoy these short listed books, we see a little of how the characters think
and how they work through their experiences. Choose one character (or
characters) and using Rap sheet 5
as a guide, decide which habits of thinking the character shows and
when.
Send
a message to the rap, explaining which thinking habits the character uses and
the results of this, justifying your opinions from the text
itself.
What
might have happened if the character had used different ‘habits of
mind’?
This
is a great rap point for thinking about thinking! I’m sure you’ll have lots to think
about!
Send
your group ideas for this rap point and all student rap messages
to:
bookweek06_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au
We
look forward to reading what you find out!
Happy
rapping,
Mrs

Week Rap Coordinator)
