We read,'Daddy's Having a Horse.' We thought they were a very big and happy family. They were very excited about Mum having a baby and told everyone about it. We noticed that the family got along very well and there was no fighting. The parents were kind to the children and didn't get upset with Lachlan when he said his Dad was having a horse. The illustrator showed many pictures of the family enjoying themselves. The pictures were colourful to show a happy family.

We read the book, 'Annie's Chair.' We thought that this family was a fairly average but loud family. There was alot of arguing between Annie and her brother over
Annie's chair. Annie's Mum and Dad seem very calm in the story whereas in most families children who carried on that way would be punished.
Annie seems like a bossy, selfish brat. The illustrator shows this by Annie's expressions. He shows Annie with an angry face and her arms crossed or her hands on her hips.
