| We discussed Habits of Mind as a class and Mrs Beach helped us with the plan but we wrote the paragraph in our own words. (Kar Lei, Rebeka, Isabel). We looked at the character Rex in the book Rex.
Rex is calm because he didn't get angry when Amy's little brother dressed him in Barbie clothes. Once again he only thought of positive things when he fell out the window. He is compliant because he doesn't want to upset people and does what everyone tells him to do. Rex is optimistic (looks at the positive side) because when he was going to drown he told himself, "Lucky I can float".
