bookweek06_rap *Rap Point 3*

Dear Rappers,

Now we are ready for some fun this week with Rap Point 3.  Use your imagination and create some more adventures for a character from one of the short-listed books.

Now that we know these characters and how they live, what further experiences might they have? What might happen next?

After brainstorming ideas and planning your work (Rap sheets 7 and 8 might help), write a short narrative, telling a new story about one of the characters that fits with the background we know.

(Be adventurous, but make sure your story has an introduction, a complication, and finishes with a good resolution. Your new story should be at least three paragraphs in length.)

Remember, for happy rapping:

·         Always put your school name and the Rap Point you are answering in the Subject line

·         Always put your class and school name at the bottom of your message, as your signature

·         Send only one email message for each class group please.

I’m sure some of you will be feeling very proud to see your carefully written rap responses on the website for the world to enjoy. Your messages will all appear on the Book Rap website at: http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/schoollibraries/listserv/bookweek06/maillist.html  Make it your best work!

If you have missed some messages, check the email discussion link at this address.

Send your responses to Rap Point 3 and all student messages to:

Bookweek06_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au

Happy rapping,

Mrs Chapman (Book Week Rap Coordinator)
