bookweek06_rap point 2 Jugiong rappers

We have been studying the Habits of Mind with our teacher Mr Peck, but have only learnt about 7 of them.
We thought the book "What the Sky Knows" by Nike Bourke wasn't really interesting until we looked more closely at it with Mrs Weston, and studied the illustrations. The illustrator has put the pictures together a bit like one of our favourite authors, Jeannie Baker.
We thought he used the Habit of Questioning and Posing Problems. She Persisted to find out the answers to her questions. The illusatrator has added Humour by putting wings and legs on the fish, dogs and bubbles in the clouds, with the dog saying 'woof'; having tea with angels and holding the sun like an orange.
We thought she could have Applied Past Knowledge to new situations, but the whole idea of the book was to make us think about how and why everthing is.
