bookwk04_rap Introduction

Hi
At Campbelltown East we have 330 students, 12 classes with between 20 and 30
in each class. We have about 15 teachers and one Principal. We have a big
shade shelter.
Our school opened in 1961. The first Principal was Mr Pollock and this year
we have our first female principal. This area was settled after World War 1
by returned soldiers who set up chook farms. Some of the original houses are
still here.
Our city is know for Fishers Ghost carnival celebrating the ghost of Fred
Fisher. Fred was murdered by his neighbour and his body was discovered when
his ghost led a local to the burial site.
Our school is next to the bush and Smiths creek. There are Aboriginal rock
carvings in the bush. This land was originally inhabited by the Tharwal
tribe. The bush has a lot of gum trees, birds, snake and rocks. The rocks
are fun to climb.
Campbelltown is one of the homes of the Wests Tigers. We have had their
players come to our school and talk to us.
Have fun rapping
