Dear Rappers,
This is our response to Rap Point 1. We imagined we were one of the chooks in Shutting the Chooks in.
The sun was beginning to set and the temperature began to drop. It had been another peaceful day at our farm with all my chook friends. We had spent the day gossiping, pecking for worms, snoozing and laying the occasional egg.
As Maisie and the others were squawking for dinner, I heard the feed bucket rattling and I darted over to where the boy comes every day. I followed the scrumptious trail of pellets and scraps to the main trough. While everyone was enjoying their meal, I looked around and discovered that Squawker had gone missing. I immediately called a meeting because it was so dangerous to be outside at night. Bossy convinced us that the boy always cared for us and that no doubt he had gone to look for Squawker. We all looked around anxiously as the shadows grew longer and we could hear the boy calling Squawker's name. I was almost certain that Squawker had been taken by the cunning old fox. Then suddenly Squawker came rushing in, followed by the boy. I was so relieved. She was safe and sound, back in her nesting box again.
