Hi rappers,
This is one of our recounts. Can you guess which book
it is from?
Early one morning l woke up and pecked around and had
my breakfast with the other chooks. After l had
breakfast l was pecking at the ground because l was
looking for some worms. All of a sudden l pulled out a
huge earthworm and all of the other chooks gathered
round and we all had a big feast.
After we ate the worm l wondered off through a hole in
the chook house. I was walking around for a few
minutes then l tried to make my way back to the chook
house, but l could not because l was lost. I knew that
l was behind the chook house but l did not know how to
find my way back to the hole.
I was still behind the chook house when l saw a mouse.
I started to run, I was scared, I was running like a
lunatic. Finally I escaped after running from the
small but terrifying mouse, I stooped to catch my
breath.
After a little while the farmer came to see what all
the squawking was about. The farmer came to get me
and put me in the chook house, and to feed the other
chooks.
Once I had something to eat I went to bed thinking
about today and what tomorrow would hold for me.
