Hi everyone
We hope you enjoy our story!
My Special Day
One fine spring morning, I was gently shaken from my peaceful dream, and as my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw my friend Milli, who had this excited look on her face.
Milli said, ‘Wake up sleepy head! Our breakfast is ready and I have some surprises for you and Jack.”
I leapt out of bed and pounced on Jack. ‘Jack, Jack, we have surprises, we have surprises!’ I said excitedly.
We all rushed out of the bedroom, bolted down the stairs, gulped down our breakfast and sprinted out to the veranda.
Milli said, ‘I’ve set up a treasure hunt in the garden. See all the amazing gifts that you can find!”
I raced around madly searching until I saw something shining brightly under the lavender bush. It was a silver trumpet with golden buttons. When I pressed each button a different musical sound came out.
All of a sudden Jack called out, ‘Look what I found! A pair of fancy shoes covered in golden stars. What a pity, they don’t fit me. They must be yours.’
‘I’ve found a pair of purple satin slippers with bells. Do you want to try them on?’ I asked.
‘Look, look they fit perfectly!’ Jack said happily.
After a while Jack and I found some clothes. Not ordinary, boring clothes but ones with rich colours and hand painted patterns. Jack and I dashed to Milli, said thankyou and gave her a warm hug.
‘Well, it’s not over yet. I’ve got something else for you. Come with me to my shed.’ Milli said.
As Milli opened the shed door we saw a magnificent tricycle. Jack and I hopped on it and spent the rest of the day riding around the whole village.
