Thread-Topic: Rap Point 1- Facts from 4S Marayong P.S.
Hi all fellow Rappers,
We have worked hard this week to find information about the Commonwealth
Games in Manchester. We have used the internet in class and have worked in
pairs in the computer lab. We have also been lucky enough to have 10 copies of The Daily Telegraphdelivered to our class each day.
As a class we voted on the four interesting facts, they are:
* There are over 5 200 athletes, coaches, officials, medicos and other
support staff attending the games.
* Over 1 billion people live in the Commonwealth, it is an association of 54
independent countries.
* There are 19 sports in all, 16 individual and 3 team sports.
* This is the second time the event has been staged in England.
The first time was in London in 1934.
