Like you we have been researching hard to find out as many interesting facts as we can about the Commonwealth Games. Here are the facts we found most interesting.
1. The Commonwealth Games at Manchester will be a world class sporting event
2. There are 3 team sports at this year's games: netball, hockey and rugby 7's
3. This will be the biggest Commonwealth Games in history with over 5200 athletes and officials attending.
4. Disabled athletes ewill compete at the games at the same time as able bodied athletes and their results will be included in the medal tally for the first time ever. Some of the sports they will compete in are swimming, lawn bowls and tzable tennis.
