Introducing Culburra PS......

Hi,
We are Year 5 students at Culburra P.S. about 25 kms outside of Nowra on the
East coast of Australia. We practically live on the beach.
We are in Year 5 and we are just starting to study the Commonwealth Games.
Culburra is a seaside town in a very pretty part of the south coast. very
little pollution and lovely beaches.
Our school has 290 students from K-6. We have around 20 teachers.
30% of of students are Koori children.
Our school has a strong history of sporting and cultural achievements.
Our dance team, our choir and the many sporting teams achieve so well for
just a small country school.
We have an aboriginal garden and new fixed play equipment in the playground.
We have a strong recycling program, are in the Gold medal Fitness Program
and loads of great activities for us run by the teachers. Last term we all
went skating.
Kerryn McCann came to our school for a visit so we are really connected to
the Commonwealth games and hope she does well in Manchester.
Do you play many competitive sports in your schools?
What mix of kids do you have in your school?
Hope someone out there would like to contact us!!!!
