Congratulations to all the schools who have been able to enter a brief introductory message as well as a few facts about the Commonwealth Games, I have enjoyed reading everyone of them. Well done!
For those who are still working on them - we look forward to seeing them in the near future.
Well, what a weekend. As I sit here typing this message it's Sunday night and Australia has just won Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Womens Marathon, with our very own Kerryn McCann winning! Its no wonder Kerryn hasn't been able to catch up with us as yet, as you can see.... she has been very busy!
Also, a very big congratulations to Bronwyn Eagles who won Silver in the Hammerthrow.
This week's task will allow you to find out a little bit more about the Commonwealth Games, but in particular, some of the Australian Athletes who are participating. This rap point requires you and your class to answer the following questions.
Who are some of the Australian athletes competing at the Commonwealth Games?
Why do they enjoy playing games and sports?
What are some of the benefits of participating in games and sports?
Working through the rap task will help you to answer the questions and develop more of your own. All the information you need to complete this task can be found on the Commonwealth Games Rap home page at:
http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/appse/staff/F1.0/F1.8/teaching/raps/commonwealth/welcome.htm
Remember it's Week 2.
Happy Rapping.
