Comments about the Games, by Petrina Price.....

The Opening Ceremony was amazing, just walking into the stadium, you could feel goose bumps down the spine it was an unreal experience. What did it look like on TV?

I haven't competed as yet. I start later tonight.

The athletics track is 20mins away by bus from the village, and the stadium as been filled with 40,000 spectators every session. I can't wait to compete in front of a very vocal English crowd.

When my event is over I will be going out to the track to support my other team members, in their pursuit for gold. Then I suppose its really what I feel like doing after that.

In the lead up to my event, I had a rest day, but I have been having light sessions to prepare myself for the final so when I'm out there competing I wont have sore muscles.

The Athletes Village is fantastic. Everything is free! Free ice cream, free chocolate, free hair cuts you name it, it's all free. (Though if you want to by official merchandise than you have to pay for that!)

The weather has been OK. There has been a few hot days, but at the moment its raining and storms are due. Every night it has rained, and it is mostly overcast for most of the day. So fingers crossed that the weather we turn hot very soon.

Talk to you soon. Wish me luck!
