Its hard to believe the Commonwealth Games are over. Did anyone catch the Closing Ceremony? What did you think?
I can't believe how well the Australian Team did. How lucky are we to have some inside knowledge about some of the thoughts and feelings the athletes themselves have about The Games.
Thank you to all the schools who have already sent in their responses to Rap Point 2. For those that haven't as yet, your task is to:
* Send a message to all rappers sharing a couple of questions you would like to ask each athlete involved in the Commonwealth Games Rap. In a day or two, I will collate the questions and send them of to each athlete. So if you want your questions answered, please post them to the Rap as soon a s possible.
In the meantime, this week's task is to:
* Consider the attributes required by athletes to succeed in their chosen sport, particularly at an elite level.
Working through the rap task will help your class develop a list of attributes, qualities or characteristics, that successful sportspeople may display.
Write a job description for a successful sportsperson in your favourite sport that uses these general attributes, but also includes attributes that are specific for that sport.
You may like to submit a number of examples of these job descriptions your class develops.
Happy Rapping!
