We think there is a play on words which makes it funny. (Madi E. ) For example: the orange juice had been beaten to a pulp, (Hannah) HB was foiled,(Kimberley) the glad wrap had it covered (Frazer) and the jam had a lid on it. (Michael) Also the anchovies were fishy. (Clemence)
Visually the text is also funny. The 4 eggs are behind bars. (Charlie) The author also uses human images for things that can't talk.(Belel) The egg standing on the chocolate is just ridiculous. It is plain funny that things in the fridge have come to life. (Hannah) The author has used the fairy tale idea that when you are asleep the toys come to life (Jordie)
