eggsactly06_rap Rap point 2

Hi Rappers

We are all feeling just a little bit shell-shocked after a couple of eggstremely busy weeks. You can see some of us (most of us if you look at the audience) on Go Go Stop this week (Dec 4 to Dec 9) - we had a great tiem but we won't tell you the result!

Well, we were rather divided on Bad Eggs. Some of us found the puns very witty and clever (Nathan, Iley, Christian), while others found them preedictable and somewhat tedious (Brett, Wade and Ashley). Shane kept a poker face throughout the book but we all knew that he was cracking up inside. Puns are like that, aren't they? they make some people laugh and some people cry.

Nathan enjoyed the play on 'foiled' at the end and Iley liked the cheesy puns (especially the holy/holey bit). Christian enjoyed the use of "They were off' because it could mean that they were gone or that they were smelly.

Tanaja thought that using the b-- word for a rear end was always going to get a laugh in any kids' book, and saying that someone looked like they had just fallen out of a hen's b-- was a surefire winner. (Our teacher just got picked up by the email sheriff for actually typing the full version of the b-- word - naughty, naughty, Mr MMcL!)

We all thought that the ridiculous idea of the foodstuffs in our fridges having personalities, hopes, dreams and secret lives involving dirty deeds was highly amusing.

We are enjoying the book rap despite the time pressures! Hope you all are too.
