Our book rap for this term focusing on Fractured Fairy Tales begins this week, the 19th July, so it is time to jointly construct and submit your group introduction.
I hope that you enjoy the picture book Whose Afraid of the Big Bad Book and the very popular film Shrek. We will be focusing on how and why composers subvert fairy tales. I am looking forward to meeting you all and reading your responses to the rap points - especially your fractured fairy tales!
I am the Head Teacher English at Richmond River High School in Lismore on the Far North Coast, and I am looking forward to being your coordinator for this rap. Our classes will tell you more about our lovely, old school when they introduce themselves.
When you are sending your introductory message, please type in the subject "Introducing....." with your school name, and send your message to: fairytales05_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au. Remember that the signature at the end of the message will be the class name or the first names of the students who are representing the class.
Have your Rap maps ready and record where other rappers live as they introduce themselves. If it is possible, check your emails daily.
Could the teachers, if you have not already done so, please subscribe to the Teacher Rap so that you can share your experiences, receive support if it is required, and contribute to any discussion.
I look forward to hearing from you, and sharing your responses to the rap points during the next few weeks.
