Introducing the Patrician Brothers College at Blacktown. Were a fairly
large school and we’re about 30 minutes from Sydney.
My name is Luke and I'm in Year 7. Our response to the first rap point for
“Who’s afraid of the big bad book” is that we liked the book.
My favourite fairytale was by far Cinderella. We found it very humerous
how Lauren Child changed a romantic fairytale to a more upbeat and
hilarious story to make the book have a sense of creativity.
The changes were they had telephones, people had moustaches in pen and
some of their dresses were in the 70’s. Come on is this a joke?
Most of the characters were the way they should be, except for the Fairy
Godmother, who was rather grumpy. She is more graceful and friendly in the
original.
Well the visual features were very artistic and looked as if each page had
several pieces of torn bits taken from somewhere else. I think it was
ingenious.
Well, we’re all looking forward at our first year doing the book rap and so
Cheerio from the P.B.B club!
