My impressions of the book are that it is wierd at the beginning and the text wrap is very good.
Here's the best of rap point 1.
Goldilocks and the three bears
We liked the version of "Goldilocks and the three bears" because they put a bit of humour into the story, for example, "You might find the porridge too hot or too cold, I'm afraid were out of just right."It is written in a comical way to put a twist in the storyline and onomatopoeia like "slap ", "bang" and "whoops" is used to create atomsphere. The words are visually highlighted to give them even more impact.
In this version Goldilocks has changed from a scared and inquisitive child into a rude girl that shouts all the time. The bears have changed from being angry when Goldilocks barges into their house uninvited to being carefree and not minding if people come into their house uninvited and even ask if Herb wants some of their porridge.
The bears are wearing clothes which gives them humorous characteristics. The bears are in the top of the picture while herb is in the bottom empowering the bears over Herb but their facial expressions and body stance is non threatening. Goldilocks is always shown standing tall with her hand in the air and her mouth is always open because she is always yelling this makes Goldilocks look angry and out of control. This is to make the character the opposite of what they are in the original fairy tale, the bears are angry and goldilocks is shy and in this story the bears are kind and goldilocks is mean.
In this story the author (Lauren Childs) is trying to tell us what children are like these days, for example,, spoilt, rude, mean ,inconsiderate and stubborn.
