Shrek

I expected the movie Shrek to be a Disney fairy tale
with little birds flying around and sweet music
playing. But instead we got a big green hand ripping
the fairytale book apart
And a tall, fat green ogre re-adjusting himself
outside a toilet.
The sound effects are good etc. RIP— of paper
Smash—of glass flush—of toilet and farts burps
Choice of song goes well with the introduction

We laugh with or at Shrek because of what we see and
hear Shrek do and the other characters as well, like
donkey who just takes over the whole film with his
humour. In parts of the movie it is a typical
fairytale, like the part when Fiona and Shrek start to
fall romantically in love with each other, because in
fairy tales such as sleeping beauty, Cinderella and
Snow White, the man and the woman always fall in love
but in this case it seems to be a ogre with a woman
which is what we start to expect from the moment you
see them together but Fiona is hiding something from
Shrek. She is an ogre too but she doesn’t want to tell
Shrek because she thinks that he will judge her.
The movie Shrek then turns into a love story with a
lot more characterisation than you would get in a
traditional fairytale. This helps to make it such a
great story..

Bye for now
