fairytales06_rap Rap point 3 -Friendz Group 1

Our group mostly enjoyed book rap .We enjoyed it because we learnt that
there is more to a book than just looking at the colourful pictures and the
black and white text. It was fun to learn about the different ways they can
set up a book and still make it interesting enough to read. It was
interesting to get to know each other when we were learning about Lauren
child’s breath taking, who is afraid of the big bad book and the movie Shrek
directed by Mike Myers. We talked a lot about it and figured out that it can
be improved by everyone getting involved a bit more. Our group thought up of
some more book titles that could be used in book rap and they are, Selby
speaks by Duncan ball, yikes by Alison Lester, Melleron’s monsters by
Douglas Hill and foster dog by Joy Watson. We they have stunning paintings
and photographs and brilliant writing. The writers have expressed their
feelings in these excellent picture books. Although they are not subverted
fairytales they are excellent books and any one can enjoy them just as we
did. If you are looking for a subverted fairytale we suggest The True story
of the three little pigs by Jon Scieszka and illustrated by Lane Smith or
Shrek 2 written by Louis Weber and illustrated by Art Mawhinney. These are
both very interesting books and should be used in any book rap point.

      By Martese, Celine and Ashley.
