flytrap06_rap Rap point 1

Dear Rappers

Now it is time to begin sharing our responses on the first rap point. In working up to our responses, we will think about and share stories not just from the book, but likely from our lives and other places and people too. Here is Rap point 1:

Rap point 1: Why is language and story so important to culture and identity? Discuss the different stories told in Flytrap by the various characters and the reasons for telling them.

The response should be at least three paragraphs long and should address the first two parts of the question in separate paragraphs.

Rap sheets 1 and 2 will help you. Classes can choose to send more than one message if you are doing group work on this rap point – check with your teacher first for approval of the final messages before sending.

Send your Rap point 1 answers to the rap discussion for us all to share at this address:

flytrap06_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au

We look forward to reading your responses to Rap point 1. I’m sure there will be some great ideas for us all to learn from.

Happy rapping!
