We think tall tales are lies, exaggeration or untrue stories.
The “tall tales” in Flytrap has morals. An example is when Nancy lies to her teacher that she had a Venus flytrap. An expression for this is Nancy gets her self dug in a hole and can’t get out.
Another example is Nancy’s mum’s tall tale. It is a typical example of a “tall tale”. Nancy’s mum struggles to make Nancy happy but it doesn’t work.
Finally the last example is when Nancy’s mum tells Nancy a story of when she was young. Flies were everywhere and they went up her nose in
her mouth and in her and in her ears. The meaning for this is to keep your mouth shut.
When thinking about Rap Point 3 responses, we looked closely to the book of Flytrap and discussed things about the book.
