flytrap06_rap Final rap point for Hebersham

Hello all

This is Angela Critcher- Teacher librarian at Hebersham Public School. I
have the year 6 class who is doing the rap every Thursday afternoon. Anyway,
we wrote our final reflections this afternoon with the intention of posting
our responses this afternoon. We did however come into a little bit of
trouble. I don't know about you guys at Caddies Creek, but on Tuesday this
week our access to the Internet was changed and we need a password to use
the net. Some sites have also been blocked- including hotmail- which our
email account is with. We could have probably asked to have hotmail
unblocked but we only figured out that we coould not access it this
afternoon after lunch. Unfortunately there is no time to send the emails
tomorrow even if we could have it unblocked.

Everyone however did complete a written final response about the rap. A few
students have taken their responses home to send them from home- I don't
know if they'll remember!!! Anyway I'll tell you some of the things that
came up in most responses. Firstly everyone enjoyed the rap, although we did
find that we did not really have enough time- the library is constantly in
use!! Also some of the points were a little hard- especially the second rap
point about traditional Aboriginal life. With that said, the kids in S3W
really did enjoy the rap and quite a few of the responses spoke about the
ability to get opinions from other students from different areas. I don't
think that there was anyone who was against doing another book rap as mostr
kids said that they were very keen to do another. The kids also really
enjoyed Flytrap. I also enjoyed reading it too.

To all the students at Caddies Creek- it has been fantastic to read your
responses to all the rap points. I know that everyone in S3W have always
enjoyed reading and listening to your responses.

Angela Critcher
