getactive06_rap FW:

Hi rappers

Welcome to this years rap

I am the coordinator of the Get Active rap and this is my first opportunity to send a message to all this years rappers. I am a curriculum adviser with the NSW Department of Education and my job involves working with schools to improve road safety education and helping teachers teach road safety education. You will notice at the end of this rap we explore some safe ways of travelling to school and being active.

Prior to my work in this job I spent 14 years working at a Sports High School in Sydney and I am looking forward to seeing some of my old students participate in the Commonwealth games.  I am really interested to hear about the ways students at your school keep active and what your class learns about the Commonwealth Games.

Quite a number of classes have sent their introductory messages this week and they make for interesting reading.  It was great to hear from rappers all over NSW and in Western Australia and Northern Territory. Now is a good time to use the Rap maps to note where all the rappers schools are located. I am looking forward to more welcome messages being posted soon.

The address for sending your class rap points is: getactive06_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au.

Next week classes will start working on Rap task 1.  In summary the task looks like this.

Rap task 1
