Hi Rappers,
We have enjoyed reading other classes interesting
facts and learnt some new things.
We did a class assembly on the Commnwealth Games.
Four intresting facts we discovered were:
1 In 1930 women were not allowed to participate in
the games.
2 The English sports fan the Reverend Astley Cooper
had the idea of the Commonwealth Games .
3 The games were initially called the Empire Games,
the name Empire Games had then been changed to the
Commonwealth Games in 1938.
4 There were only six sports in the Empire Games, now
there are 16 sports and 24 disciplines.
We look forward to finding out what characteristics
make a good sportsperson.
