We have liked reading your emails and finding out what facts you chose.
We worked individually using the internet to find interesting facts about the Commonwealth Games, then we discussed them with our teacher and t/librarian in groups.We voted for the 4 most interesting facts.
1. There are 3 sets of sisters in the Australian team competing in the com. games. They are Rachel & Natalie Grinham (squash), Jane & Natalie Saville (athletics - walk) and Anna & Kerrie Meares (cycling).What's so great is they all won medals!
2. We love basketball and this is the first time the sport has been included in the com. games.
3. Boxing has been an event at the com. games since 1930.
4. Alexandra Croak used to be an aussie gymnast but competes at these games in diving. Alaxandra comes from our city...Coffs
