We can't believe this is our second last Rap, hasn't it gone fast!!!
Not just our class but our whole school is looking forward to participating in the 'WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL' day on Friday the 7th April.
All those who make the effort to walk are looking forward to receiving a special sticker for participating.
We think any tips for making it safer to walk or ride to school would be beneficial to kids of all ages, as long as children are prepared to take the advice into serious consideration because it could mean that you or a friend could be stopped from getting badly hurt or even worse!!!!
Our key safety messages for children to follow are:
Don't play on the road while walking to school.
Cross on a pedestrian crossing
Don't run across the road
Bikes can be dangerous - make sure you wear a properly fitted helmet
Wear bright clothes at night when riding a bike.
Never chase a ball or person near the road
If your under 9yrs old make sure you always hold an adults hand when crossing the road
It's very hard to see passed parked cars so don't cross until you have a clear veiw
